The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) is a specialized international organization working within the framework of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, specializing in the fields of education, science, culture and communication.

 ISESCO Research Grants are awarded for high-level and promising scientific research projects carried out by individual scientists in the OIC region. A Research Grant amounting to a maximum of US$10,000.00 and is normally provided for a period of two years.

Requests for grants are restricted to the fields of:

Nanotechnology, Medical sciences, Information Technology, Agriculture Biotechnology, Material Sciences, Biological Sciences, Frontier Areas of Science and Technology:

Eligibility:

Applicants should be resident nationals of OIC member states and hold a Ph.D. in the field in which grant is requested. Researcher should also hold a position in a public sector university or a government research institution where project is proposed to be executed. The grants are awarded to young competent scientists under the age of 40 years from those OIC member states where basic tools of research are seriously lacking.

Deadlines for receipt of applications 31 July and 31 January of each year and Applicants will be notified within three to four months after each deadline.
