From its very inception, the
R&D Division at CIIT has earned approximately Rs.100 to 150 million yearly in
research related activities from various donor agencies, especially Higher Education
Commission and Pakistan Science Foundation. A number of research projects prepared
by various faculty members are under process with the National ICT R&D Fund.
In addition to funding from other sources, CIIT herself contributes its own resources
for the promotion of research and development. Young scientists of CIIT who, otherwise
are unable to obtain funding from donor agencies are supported through CIIT’s own
