Research

The Department of Management Sciences is actively engaged in research activities, it is highly encouraged that all the faculty members pursue research.

In this context a research committee has also been formed with some faculty members of the department who were already actively engaged in research. The function of this committee is to maintain the research profile of staff members and form different subgroups for each division of the department. The committee also motivates staff to be involved in independent and joint research projects. Conferences and seminars and workshops on research tools and techniques are also arranged. The main aim of the committee is to assist staff members in their publications and provide suggestions to young faculty members. The committee also establishes research collaborations with national and international authors of repute. The research committee occasionally holds it meetings so that the progress can be measured. Because of this committee, the Department of Management Sciences has a goal to increase the number of publications by 20%, each year.

Another positive outcome of encouragement towards research is that, to date, the Department of Management Sciences has more then 60 publications to its credit and most of the faculty members are involved in some kind of research.
