Dr Khalid Rashid awarded with the Nagoya University Award for Contributions to International Exchange
Dr. Khalid Rashid is an Advisor at International Liaison Office (Japan Desk) at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, CIIT. He did his PhD from Nagoya University in 1978 and has been associated with CIIT since Jan, 2008. During all these years, he has been actively engaged in promoting cordial relations between CIIT, Japan Embassy in Islamabad and his Alumni mates. He was also actively involved in collecting funds for the victims of Tsunami which hit Japan recently. He is also striving hard to ensure Academic Linkage between CIIT and various Universities in Japan including Nagoya University.

In recognition of his services for International cooperation, he has been honored with "Nagoya University Award for Contributions to International Exchange". He will visit Nagoya at their invitation in October, 2011 and have wide range of deliberations with various professors at Nagoya University.

This will open up a new era of collaboration between CIIT and Nagoya University. ILO is proud that one of its team members has been bestowed with an award by a reputed University of Japan.
