Senior German Expert at CIIT Islamabad

A Senior German Expert Dr. Ing Andreas Matzke from Senior Experts Service (SES) Germany has arrived today June 02nd, 2011 at CIIT Islamabad. Dr Matzke specializes in Digital Archives and has worked in several developing countries like Yemen, Ethiopia and Albania. He would be associated with the Department of Electrical Engineering but his expertise will also be available to IT and the Department of Computer Science. He would help teach the art of writing effective research proposals. For this Dr. Matzke will conduct seminars and workshops not only in Islamabad but also at Abbottabad and Wah campus. Today’s first day was spent with a brief tour of the campus including the library. This was followed by a courtesy call on Acting Rector Prof Dr. Raheel Qamar. A presentation at International Liaison Office about CIIT was made to acquaint the visitor with the history of the institute A brief introductory meeting with the Electrical Engineering department’s faculty members was also held.
