Office of Industrial Liaison and Professional Development at the Department of Electrical Engineering, CIIT Islamabad is working with the aim of promoting collaboration with industry The office of industrial liaison has enthusiastically planned to generate following activities.
- Establish collaboration with local and international industry
- Conduct annual project and industrial exhibition at Chak-shahzad campus
- Carryout R&D at student and faculty level with collaboration of industry
- Conduct Professional trainings with the help of experts from industry
- Arrange Industrial Tours
Professional workshops and seminars on various topics and key engineering areas are regularly arranged by the office. The purpose of these workshops and seminars is to spread practical knowledge, skills and to generate another vital activity at the CIIT forum. The participants of these workshops are students, faculty members and professionals from industry.
The office organizes regular field-trips and visits to different industries, companies and organizations related to Electrical Engineering so that students can have the opportunity to see actual work being done in their fields of telecommunication and computer engineering. This interaction gives students a chance to see the practical implementation of the theoretical concepts which they have studied. Also students are facilitated in getting a chance to do internships at these industries and companies. This is very significant because in this way students experience working in actual industrial environment rather than working in a controlled lab environment. Also this can serve as a valuable chance of hands-on experience on latest engineering and industrial hardware and software. The office also facilitates in bringing industrial projects for the Final Year BS students so that they can work on them as their final year projects.
Along with workshops, seminars and industrial visits, Office of Industrial Liaison and Professional Development, also invites companies and industrialists to visit our campus to interview our students for job placements. The office also guides students in selecting jobs and highlights any available electrical engineering jobs and internships within and outside the country.
