Memorandum of Understanding between COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)

COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan (CIIT) and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) The main purpose of this collaboration is to develop an agenda of such relevant research areas which are of mutual interest to both CIIT and PTA.

Whereas, an associated interest is to equip the future leadership cadre of Pakistan with theoretical as well as practical experience and training in policy issues as experienced by the Telecom sector of the economy.

Under this collaboration PTA would provide the telecom statistics and expertise to CIIT. Reciprocally, CIIT would encourage its students to undertake research in different areas of telecom in every term/module/semester. Moreover, PTA being the regulatory authority would like to utilize the research conducted in the field of telecom at CIIT for its process of policy development for telecommunications in Pakistan.
