USEFP (http://www.usefpakistan.org) is a bi-national commission dedicated to improving
mutual understanding of people of Pakistan and US through educational exchange opportunities.
Miss Zehra Ratani, Education Advisor from United States Education Foundation in
Pakistan (USEFP) gave a few words of advice on applying for US Universities. There
was a good turnout of people to attend the seminar. Mostly the students from Computer
Science and Management Sciences department attended the seminar. |

Mr. Hamid Mehmood Qureshi, Program Manager Business Intelligence, from TERADATA
presented the topic. He is also a member of the leadership team and regularly invited
to Leadership seminars and marketing conferences hosted every now and then. The
seminar had a huge turnout of attendees from Islamabad as most of the Computer Science’s
faculty and students attended it. The speaker discussed the teradata technology,
business intelligence and its various applications. The seminar was followed by
an interesting question answer session. |

The seminar was given by Affan Syed, Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Information
Sciences Institute (ISI) of University of Southern California. The talk consisted
on a brief introduction to wireless sensornets, motivation for working on underwater
sensornets and the research related to latency-aware sensornets. The seminar had
a good turnout from Islamabad Campus and a fair one from the rest of the campuses.
Most of the faculty and post graduate students of Computer Science department were
present. |
